RS PRO 1 Phase 720 VA Variac, 1 Output, 240 V, 3 A


Variac transformers are an efficient way to supply current between circuits. This low-maintenance RS PRO model can be mounted on walls, floors or other surfaces. Its screw terminals mean it's easy to install and it has an enclosed construction.

This unit offers smooth linear output, with no waveform distortion and integrated protection against overload thanks to its silver-plated commutator. In addition, it has continuously variable AC output voltage and an overvoltage tap for good regulation. It's also efficient, with a low operating torque and a low magnetising current.

This item is one of a number of ’Varivolt’ transformers from our RS PRO professional range and is available in single or three-phase versions across a range of current ratings. You can find them used power transmission and distribution, power conversions, and audio systems, either in domestic or industrial settings. RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant, it contains few hazardous materials.
