RS PRO 1 Phase 480 VA Variac, 1 Output, 240 V, 2 A
From the RS PRO professional range, this open-style variac transformer gives you high levels of efficiency when supplying electricity between circuits. Thanks to its rugged design and high-quality construction, its lifespan is long and the product needs little maintenance.
The transformer has a silver-plated commutator that gives it a smooth linear output, no waveform distortion and an integrated overload capacity for safety. Its low operating torque and a low magnetising current make it efficient too. It has a continuously variable alternating current output voltage and an overvoltage tap for regulation.
The product is available in single or three-phase versions across a range of current ratings. This type of open-style variable transformer is used for flash mounting within control panels, enclosures or process control equipment. Its found in both industrial and household environments and comes fully compliant with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standards for safety.
