You can use this RS PRO steel wire rope clamp to safely form a load-bearing eye by creating a loop in a length of wire rope and firmly clamping it into place. This clamp is suitable for holding a rope with a diameter of 8 mm.
This RS PRO clamp, also known as a wire rope clip or grip, consists of a forged U-shaped bolt and a cast saddle, secured by two nuts for added strength. The forged steel construction makes it suitable for bearing heavy loads and creates a durable and reliable clamp. It's resistant to abrasion, making it safe for you to use with a wire rope.
This unit meets DIN standard 1142, so it's recognised as safe to use as a wire rope grip. It's not suitable for joining two lengths of rope or for forming sling assemblies.
