RS PRO IEC Thermocouple Connector for use with Type J Thermocouple Type J, Miniature


Are you looking to connect to an older category of temperature sensor? This RS PRO Type J connector consists of a miniature thermocouple plug and socket set with polarised contacts to help you avoid connection errors. It's versatile and will function efficiently in non-corrosive situations.

This connector will operate at a maximum continuous temperature of +220°C. The wires inside it are housed between plates of protective thermocouple compatible material. A clamping screw will take fine wires through to stranded cables. The plug's round pins are iron positive and copper-nickel negative, and the sockets are supplied as in-line or panel mounting types and with rectangular or circular fascias.

These types of Type J plug and socket thermocouple connectors contain iron, so you shouldn't use them in humid environments. Where exposure to moisture is minimal and within vacuums, they'll function well, however.
