Fluke Electrical Tester, 600V Maximum Voltage Measurement, CAT III Safety Category Level - T6-600
This electrical tester provides non-contact measurement of AC voltage, current and frequency for industrial and field environments. It uses an open-fork sensing method to assess live conductors without requiring probe contact, and also accepts conventional test leads for direct voltage and resistance checks. The instrument is intended for electricians and engineers working on power distribution, machinery and control systems where rapid, safer diagnostics are needed.
Features & Benefits
• FieldSense non-contact voltage measurement up to 600V reduces exposure to live terminals
• Simultaneous display of voltage and current speeds up troubleshooting tasks
• Current range to 200 A accommodates large conductors up to AWG 4/0
• Resistance measurement to 2000 Ω assists continuity and component checks
• Operates on 2 x AA batteries for long runtime during field use
• Frequency detection over 45–66 Hz verifies supply and generator conditions

**Applications**
• Suitable for diagnosing power supplies in industrial automation systems
• Ideal for checking line current and voltage on motors and drives
• Used for fault-finding in electrical distribution panels and switchgear
• Can be used for resistor and continuity checks on control circuits

What conditions affect non-contact measurement accuracy?
Non-contact readings require a capacitive path to earth
accuracy is reduced without an external earth connection and when the user is insulated from earth, such as when wearing insulating gloves or on an insulated ladder.
How does the tester handle frequency measurement?
Frequency is measured within a limited band centred on mains frequencies and is specified from 45 Hz to 66 Hz with a 1 Hz resolution and an accuracy of ±(1% + 2 counts).
What environmental limits apply to operation and storage?
It operates between −10 °C and +50 °C and stores between −30 °C and +60 °C
altitude limits are 2000m for operation and 10 000m for storage.
What protective rating and safety classification does it meet?
The instrument is rated for measurement category CAT III at 600V for use in typical installation work.
What accessories and test lead options are available?
It ships with attached test leads and removable probe caps and supports optional accessories such as magnetic hangers, proving units and various probe and clip sets for expanded use.
Note
Please ensure voltage is measured without test leads
