Pick this hinge switch from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley Guardmaster range to prevent unauthorised access through restricted doorways. It's ideal for low-power systems due to its maximum DC voltage of 24V. The unit functions with two NC contacts securing the hinge and one NO contact that can be used to operate an alarm, adding a further safety benefit. Thanks to an adjustable cam you can adjust the degree of hinge actuation and determine the angle that isolates machine power.

Allen-Bradley Rotacam Hinge Switch

The Rotacam is heavy-duty, hinge-actuated safety-interlock switch. It can be used as, or connected to, the existing hinge pin for direct operation of the switch. Machine power is isolated when the guard has been opened just 5°. For applications requiring a larger degree of operation, the internal cam can be adjusted from 5…11°.

Can be used as a hinge pin on light and medium weight guard doors

Isolates power within 5° of door movement (2° to operate 2N/C safety contacts, 3° to operate 1N/O auxiliary - which can be used to indicate which guard has been opened, or can operate an alarm)
