The Schneider Electric switch disconnector is a three-pole (3P) device designed for use in AC networks operating at 50/60 Hz, featuring a red handle and suitability for isolation with a visible contact position indicator for enhanced safety. It has a rated insulation voltage of 750 V AC and a rated impulse withstand voltage of 8 kV, with a conventional free air thermal current of 250 A at 60°C. The rated short-circuit making capacity is 30 kA when used as a standalone switch disconnector at 690 V AC, increasing to 330 kA with an upstream protection circuit breaker at the same voltage and frequency.
