RS PRO 25 Piece HSS-E Cobalt Drill Bit Set (1.0 – 13mm)

A comprehensive 25 piece HSS-E Cobalt alloy high-performance drill bit set containing a great selection of the most commonly used diameters. Constructed from High-Speed Steel featuring a 5% cobalt content (HSS-E) enabling increased heat resistance.
Cobalt bits cut faster and last longer when drilling high tensile metal materials, from Stainless Steel, Carbon Steels, cast Iron, Titanium alloy and even Carbon Fibre composite materials and are suitable for use with high tensile strength materials of 800N/m².
The HSS-E drill bits feature a 135° non-slip split point the Cobalt drill bits and are perfect for precision centring. Manufactured in accordance with DIN 338 for high precision tolerances and geometric accuracies.

FAQ's

What does jobber mean?

The word jobber specifies the length of the drill bit. This generally means the length of the entire drill bit itself is significantly longer for diameter it has. As an example, a mechanic drill bit will have a much shorter flute and therefore have a much smaller overall length.

What is the difference between HSS-E and HSS?

HSS drill bits are suitable for most drilling applications, they are able to stand up to high temperatures. typically used for drilling a wide variety of metals.

HSS-E drill bits are able to cope with higher cutting speeds, at higher feed rates, whilst ensuring a longer life compared to standard HSS drill bits.
