Applications:
Digital Voltmeters, or digital panel voltmeters, are used to measure the voltage within an electrical circuit, which can be useful for calculating the current or determining that there is power running through a circuit, like a mains outlet or other electronic components. They are able to measure both AC and DC voltages and have a high input impedance, making the voltage measurements more reliable, with higher accuracy. Some of the newest digital voltmeters can also feature the latest technology of built-in microcontrollers which can store readings and data for further analysis and investigation. Digital Voltmeters are most commonly used by electricians; however, they can be used across a wide variety of applications in the following environments:
• Laboratories
• Schools
• Construction sites
• Industrial and manufacturing sites

What are the benefits of using a digital voltmeter compared to an analogue voltmeter?
The primary difference between a digital voltmeter and an analogue one is the display in which the measurements are taken. They fundamentally function in the same way when they take readings, however, in more recent years, there has been a growing crossover to the digital units as they are often easier and more efficient to use, while providing reliable and accurate readings. Some digital voltmeters also have built-in microcontrollers that allow the user to store readings for further investigation, which is a huge benefit to those users who are mobile and havent got time to note down measurements and data constantly.
