Under no circumstances should both ends of the fixing bolt simultaneously contact the metal chassis or framework as this would create a potentially dangerous 'shorted-turn'.

This open-style toroidal transformer from RS PRO works by transferring power between two parts of an electrical circuit at a reduced (or step-down) voltage.

Transformers are integral to any electrical circuit, converting alternating current (AC) to increased or reduced voltages while maintaining power levels. Toroidal transformers have a practical magnetic core that makes them handy when high-efficiency power transfer is required.

This toroidal transformer is smaller and lighter than its traditional counterparts. It’s also more efficient to run, providing excellent value for money.
