RS PRO Type K Thermocouple → +250°C
This Type K thermocouple from the RS PRO range is a robust device used to measure temperatures in scientific and engineering environments. It's part of our stringently tested RS PRO series.
Thermocouples twist two dissimilar metal wires into a single electrical junction. When temperature changes at the junction, the cable automatically takes a reading. It has an operating range of -75°C to +250°C, so it's useful for a variety of applications.
Type K thermocouples are general-purpose thanks to their small size and rapid response times. This cable features a single twin-twisted lead insulated with Teflon® PFA, which protects against degradation and prolongs its working life.
Widely deployed as temperature management tools, thermocouples like this one can measure the temperature of engines, turbines and other industrial machinery. It's received class 1 cable specification in accordance with BS EN 60584-3:2008, and it meets IEC 584 Class 1 making it a safe thermocouple.
