Eaton Bussmann HRC Offset Tag Fuses - BS88 British Standard Fuses

Eaton Bussmann's offset tag fuses (or offset bolted tag fuses) are essentially a cylindrical fuse that is fitted with offset brackets, these brackets allow the fuse to be bolted onto a fuse holder. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage measure. Eaton Bussmann's fuses are commonly found within a multitude of industrial and switchgear applications, electrical equipment, wiring systems and circuit breakers. This fuse range is suitable for general purpose use.

Features & Benefits

• The low-temperature rise enables the fuse to be suitable for high-density mounting
• Fuse links, specifically designed for the protection of equipment
• Conforms to industry standards
• Low voltage fuse
• High rupture capacity (HRC)
• Suitable for three-phase applications
• Suitable for type 2 co-ordinated applications as defined in IEC 947-4
• Low power loss, typically 20% lower than the requirements of BS 88

Why use a slotted tag fuse?

A slotted tag fuse is distinguished by the metal slotted tags that extend off the ends of the fuse. This tag can either enable the fuse to have an offset tag or be centred to the fuse. Predominantly, this type of fuse is used within installations as a "weak link". They are designed to break when a fault occurs, such as an overcurrent or short circuit - they are a safety and damage protection measure within electrical circuits.

Eaton British Standard Fuse, 32A, 415V AC - NITD32M40

This British Standard fuse from Eaton is designed to break when a fault occurs in an electrical system. It stops overcurrent or short circuits from damaging electronic devices and reduces the need to replace equipment or components. A fuse like this is typically used in switchgear equipment, as well as industrial and commercial wiring systems. The tagged fuse is fitted with offset brackets, which let you easily bolt it to a fuse holder. It features a high-rupture capacity that's able to clear both high-fault and low-fault currents. This unit is resistant to ageing, which means it performs consistently and reliably throughout its lifespan without needing maintenance.

• High-speed operation for instant reaction to electrical faults and improved electrical safety
• Quick and uncomplicated assembly makes it easy to install or remove
• Capable of breaking a circuit when excessive overcurrent occurs for improved reliability
• Low-temperature rise means it's suitable for mounting on high-density circuit boards

What size is this fuse?

This is an A1 size fuse that's used in plugs to protect wires from melting if they overload. It has a body height of 35.5mm and a diameter of 17.5mm. Its overall length is 55.5mm.
