Sensata | Crydom Solid-State Relay, 8pF I/O Capacitance, 20msTurn-On Time - CW24 Series - CWU2450-10

Get energised with this solid-state relay from Sensata | Crydom. It opens and closes a circuit when it receives a signal for automated switching in your industrial equipment. As it uses a semiconductor, it has no moving parts, so you can trust it won't wear down. A quick turn-on time of 20ms means it switches in a snap. The device has an SCR output, which makes it a solid choice for heavy loads in industrial automation, production lines and mechanical engineering.

• LED status indicator for ease of monitoring

• Cover has an IP20 rating, meaning it's finger-safe and protected against objects larger than 12mm in size

• Broad operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C for use in extreme conditions

• Compact dimensions of 58.8 (H) x 44.5 (W) x 30.9mm (D) for installation in tight setups

How does an SSR work?

When a small control voltage is applied to the relay, it activates an infrared or LED beam. The beam switches on a photo-sensitive diode, which in turn activates a semiconductor to switch the load.
