This self-adjusting hydraulic shock absorber from Festo automatically adapts to absorb impact without exceeding the permissible energy limit. Thanks to the pressure valve's smart flow control, damping increases the more the piston rod pushes into the cylinder. The unit features a built-in pressure spring to return the piston rod back to its initial position and it can handle load speeds of up to 3 m/s. Its galvanised steel housing and high-alloy steel piston rod are corrosion-resistant, so it will hold up under tough conditions.
