The Severn Evaluation kit from LAIIER is an efficient and scalable smart sensing technology solution designed to detect the presence of water and identify water leaks early. The sensor’s primary and first use case is detecting the presence of water and being able to identify water leaks early. The sensors are constructed from a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) polyester substrate printed with carbon ink. Printed designs determine system sensitivity. Sensors have up to 12 individual electrodes which allows you to pinpoint the location of the water on the sensor. The severn evaluation board uses USB to power the board and to send the data via Serial to a computer. There, the data can be explored and analysed with any software that can input serial data.
