Allen Bradley Guardmaster 889D-F8AB-10 Cable for GuardShield Safety Light Curtains


Complete your GuardShield Safety Light Curtains system with the 889D-F8AB-10 cordset by Allen Bradley Guardmaster and ensure optimal protection for personnel around hazardous areas.

The 889D-F8AB-10 cordset is a straight female 8-Pin DC micro unshielded PUR cable. It has a length of 10m (32.8ft). The jacket material is made of resilient black PUR. The wire rating for this connector is 24AWG 36V DC/ 30V AC 1.5A. The contacts are made of nickel-plated brass. This cable is designed for use with the 440L GuardShield Safety Light Curtains.

The GuardShield family of safety light curtains are general-purpose devices for presence sensing. They can be used on hazardous machinery to ensure perimeter and access detection and point of operation detection, helping to prevent injury to personnel. Point of Operation Control light curtains (POC) are used specifically for finger, hand and arm recognition and should be placed close to the hazard where personnel interact with the machine. This type of safety system uses a transmitter which emits sequential pulses of infrared light to a receiver. When the beams are interrupted a stop signal is immediately sent to the machine.

The GuardShield Light Curtains have convenient DIP switch selectable Modes of Operation, located beneath a security door in the end caps, which offer advanced features such as: Fixed blanking (teachable), Floating blanking (one or two beam), Beam coding, Start/restart interlock, External device monitoring (EDM), 14mm resolution (finger detection), Two safety solid state and one auxillary non-safety outputs and easy maintenance with the Quick Disconnect cables (4-pin for the sender, 8-pin for the receiver).

Allen Bradley Cordsets are made to be highly dependable, versatile, safe, and rugged enough to suit a variety of industrial applications. They adhere to UL2238 cable assembly standards and the NFPA-79 electrical standard, which require rigorous quality and performance testing. The cordsets are expertly designed to offer smooth connectivity and decrease downtime.
