SKF Seal, 50mm Inside Diameter, 65mm Outside Diameter - 50X65X10 HMSA10 RG

This radial shaft seal provides a rotating-shaft barrier to retain lubricants and exclude contaminants in equipment where a shaft passes through a stationary housing. It is intended for oil or grease service and features a rubber outer diameter and a conventional elastomer sealing lip combined with an auxiliary non‑contacting lip and garter spring to maintain contact under varied conditions.

Features & Benefits

• Auxiliary non‑contacting lip improves contamination exclusion
• Garter spring maintains lip‑to‑shaft contact at speed
• Permits operation up to 7.84 m/s circumferential speed
• Withstands temperatures from −40°C to 100°C
• Tolerates short‑term peaks up to 120°C
• Accommodates shaft misalignment during rotation

**Applications**

• Suitable for bearings in automation equipment
• Ideal for rotating assemblies in electrical motor drives
• Used with gearboxes requiring oil‑retaining Seals
• Can be used for rotating shafts in robotics systems
• Used for maintenance replacement in mechanical plants

What shaft sizes does it fit?

It is designed to run on a 50mm shaft and locates in a 65mm housing bore.

What is the maximum permissible rotational speed?

The seal supports up to 3000 r/min under the stated circumferential speed limit.

How does it handle pressure differences?

It is rated for a differential of 0.03 N/mm, suitable for low‑pressure retention applications.

What material composes the sealing lip and what are the benefits?

The lip is MADE from nitrile rubber (NBR), offering chemical resistance appropriate for oil and grease duties.

Are specialised installation aids recommended?

Use an appropriate sleeve or installation tool to protect the sealing lip and ensure correct seating in the rubber outside diameter.
