Transmissive optical sensor

The Vishay Optical Transmissive Sensor is specifically designed for incremental encoder applications. It integrates an additional detector that can detect vertical displacement of a code wheel, enabling turn push detection and providing an alternative method for indexing in incremental encoding. When paired with an application specific code disc or strip, the sensor is ideal for a variety of applications, including rotary switches, incremental turn switches, speed and motion control systems, and other precision motion sensing applications.
