3M Filter for use with 6000 Series Respirators 6055

The 3M™ 6055 (A2) is a filter pack, which is designed for use with the 6000/7500 series half face respirators and 6000/7000 series full face respirators. They provide the user with a high protection from contaminated environments in a wide range of industrial contaminants. With a filter type of A1, it can protect you against organic gases. The bayonet fitting types allows each filter to be clicked in place for ease.

Always be sure to use the correct filters for your environment, and make sure the replacement filters are changed as regularly as is recommended.

Depending on the health and safety requirements of your workplace or the demands of your application, you may need to choose between a half mask or full mask respiratory. Half mask respirators cover only the nose and mouth, while full masks cover the entire face. While both masks may have the same grade of filter, a full face mask has the benefit of sealing around the whole face, creating a more secure seal. Full face masks also have the advantage of protecting the eyes from vapours or splashing. As such, the full face mask option is often a better choice for potentially more hazardous conditions.

However, a half-mask might be a more cost-effective option if extra protection isn't needed, or might be more suitable for use in combination with specialized headgear.

These filters fit 3M 6000/6500QL/7500 Series half face respirators and 6000/FF-400 Series full face respirators.

Dispose of the filters in accordance with local regulations regarding the contaminants they have captured to ensure safe disposal practices.

Store the filters in a cool, dry place, ideally between –20°C and +25°C, with relative humidity kept below 80%.

Filters should be replaced at least every six months after opening, regardless of usage frequency, to maintain effectiveness.
