Produce high-quality parts and components with this PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) rod from RS PRO. The material is highly machinable and a rod length of 1 metre will give you the flexibility to create a variety of sizes and shapes.

PTFE offers excellent dielectric performance, which makes it suitable for applications with electromagnetic sensitivity. It also has a high level of resistance to chemicals and radiation and a UL (Underwriters' Laboratories) 94 V-0 fire safety rating indicating that it will burn for no more than 30 seconds. This means you can rely on it to perform safely and effectively in demanding settings.

It also offers low friction and adhesion, which means it will enable smooth motion while reducing heating and noise. It's commonly used for gears, bearings and gaskets, in food processing and industrial manufacturing environments.
