RS PRO O-Ring Material Tester

This material tester from RS PRO easily determines which type of rubber your O-rings are made from. Simply drop the tester weight onto an O-ring and the height of its return bounce will tell you whether it's composed of Viton™, Kalrez®, nitrile or ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM).
The tester ensures you choose the correct O-ring material type to reduce the chance of machine failure. It's compact and portable as it fits into most toolboxes. Alternatively, use its pocket clip and hook it to your belt for ease of access. The unit has four clearly marked ranges so you can quickly analyse your tests results.
Use this tester to verify an O-ring at the moment of installation or check for incorrect labelling in high-pressure environments. It's Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant, meaning it contains only minimal levels of any harmful materials.
