RS PRO Steel Mitre Gear, 4mm Bore, 16 Teeth, 0.8 Module

This mitre gear from RS PRO is designed to transmit rotary motion between shafts that are 90° apart. Simply attach a mitre gear to each shaft and the 45° pitch angle on each gear will allow seamless interaction between shafts.

Made from S45C induction-hardened steel and cut to the Gleason system, this mitre gear provides a combination of strength and reliability. RS PRO mitre gears are supplied as single units, rather than as a pair. This makes it more cost-effective to replace worn or damaged gears as you only need to buy what you need.

This mitre gear is fully compliant with DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung, or the German Institute of Standardisation) 3964, relating to tooth thickness, as well as DIN 3967 and DIN 3971, both relating to bevel gears. It's well-suited for use in applications such as material handling and pumps.
