Eaton MCB, Type D Tripping, 3 Poles - FAZ Series - 278896 FAZ-D16/3

This MCB from Eaton is a reliable choice for protecting electrical equipment from damage caused by current overloads. It automatically opens the circuit in the event of a surge, shutting off power to the system. An operating voltage range of 240 to 415V AC makes it compatible with low-voltage to medium-voltage systems. As the breaker has type D tripping characteristics, it trips at 10 to 20 times its rated current of 16A. This makes it suitable for use with demanding applications such as welding equipment, X-ray machines and uninterruptible PSUs.

Features & Benefits

• Red and green contact position indicator lights for ease of status monitoring
• IP40 rating when installed means it's protected against wires and tools larger than 1mm in size
• Broad operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C for use in demanding environments

How do I install this MCB?

To make installation straightforward, this breaker is designed for mounting on a standard 35mm DIN rail. For flexible operation, you can add a field-installable shunt trip auxiliary switch (922-6958) once the MCB is in place.
