RS PRO Yellow 1-Lock ABS Fuse Lockout, 7.5mm Shackle, 7.5mm Attachment

Introducing from RS PRO a useful fuse lockout device compatible with the older generation red spot style fuse holder bases. The main purpose of the lockout is to restrict access to live contacts and reinsertion of fuses while maintenance and repairs are in progress. The RS PRO Fuse Lockout is fully adjustable to fit 20A to 100A fuse and uses an effective clamp system to grip the wall of the fuse holder without damage.

To install, open the toggle and open the inner jaw via the screw. Place the jaw over the wall of the holder and adjust the sliding cover to match the overall base length. Twist the toggle clockwise to tighten (it’s important not to overtighten, finger tight is ideal), close the toggle, quick check to make sure all is correct then secure with a safety padlock and tag.

Lockouts are vital safety devices that should be used always to ensure a circuit breaker is not switched on inadvertently. If multiple engineers are working with the system, a hasp, tag, and individual padlocks can be attached, and only when all devices have been removed will the system be safe to reactivate.
