SICK C2MT Series miniTwin Light Curtain Safety Light Curtains, 14mm Resolution

The miniTwin safety light curtain system includes one Twin-Stick designed for standalone use. It utilizes an O-fix bracket mounting system and offers a safety level of Type 2, PL c, SIL1, with a resolution of 14 mm and a scanning range of 8 meters. The protective field height is 180 mm, and it features a Male connector M12 with 5 pins for connection. The system has an enclosure rating of IP65, providing protection against dust and water. Included items are the Twin stick, system plug, two O-Fix brackets, a test rod matching the resolution, safety instructions, mounting instructions, and downloadable operating instructions. For more than 10 years, SICK has been writing a success story with the miniTwin – the safety light curtain in miniature format – in hazardous point protection for finger and hand protection.

Its two twin sticks, in which the sender and receiver are installed symmetrically in a compact housing for the first time, have received several awards. One of the Twin-Sticks is mounted opposite the other one and rotated by 180 degrees. This creates a safe protective field. The miniature design of the miniTwin, the option of cascading it and its different protective field heights save production space and enable small safety distances. At the same time, this mini device achieves great things: it functions perfectly, even when subjected to very strong shocks and vibrations and temperatures down to –20° Celsius.
