RS PRO batteries in this range are entirely maintenance-free and can be mounted in any orientation without the risk of leakage. These AGM constructed batteries are highly efficient and have excellent discharge recovery properties.

AGM batteries differ from flooded lead acid batteries in that the electrolyte is held in the glass mats, as opposed to freely flooding the plates. Glass fibres are woven into a mat to increase surface area enough to hold sufficient electrolyte on the cells for their lifetime.
