Heating cartridges such as this one are made to be slotted into holes drilled with both imperial and metric drill sizes. In order to work properly, they have to fit tightly, which is why it's important to consider what you intend to use the heater for before you order – this model is 3/8 inch in diameter and 1.5 inches long.

The 10-inch lead wire attached to the element is insulated with fibreglass and can withstand temperatures up to +450°C. A TIG-welded end disc protects the element from both moisture absorption and contamination. As part of the top-quality RS PRO range, this heating element has been comprehensively tested to ensure it meets international standards for safety and reliability.
