The Viavi visual fault locator offers two unique versions of LVD with optimal handling and a very moderate price. Both models are equipped with a 2.5mm interface and are compatible with SC, ST and FC type connectors. The 1.25mm adapter allows connection to LC and MU type connectors. The LVD emits a very bright red laser beam which emits its light through the damaged part of the optical fiber; this is easily seen from a distance. The Continuous/Flash button lets you choose between continuous or flashing lighting.
