Belden Alpha Essentials Coaxial Cable Series Ethernet Cable, 100m Length, 24 AWG American Wire Gauge - 9854C SL033

This Ethernet cable is a Cat5 shielded model designed for high-performance networking applications. At 100m in length, it features an Aluminium/Mylar shield and is constructed with stranded 24 AWG and 28 AWG conductors. The grey PVC sheath adds durability, making it suitable for various environments.

Features & Benefits

• Shielded design reduces electromagnetic interference for stable connections

• Multicore configuration ensures efficient data transmission

• Low capacitance of 64.616 pF/m enhances signal integrity

• Heat-resistant with a voltage rating of 300V for safe use

• Stranded conductors provide flexibility and easy routing

• Compliant with RoHS directives ensuring environmental safety

Applications

• Used for connecting devices in industrial automation systems

• Suitable for running high-speed data connections in commercial buildings

• Ideal for enhancing network performance in electronics and electrical

• Utilised in mechanical environments requiring reliable signal integrity

What are the advantages of using this shielded cable for network installations?

The Aluminium/Mylar shielding effectively reduces signal loss and interference from external sources, ensuring clear data transmission even in high-noise environments. This improves overall network reliability and efficiency.

How does the multicore design impact the performance of data transmission?

The multicore design allows the cable to handle higher data rates and reduces the risk of crosstalk between pairs, resulting in improved performance and faster data transfer speeds over long distances.

What is the significance of the cable’s low capacitance rating?

A low capacitance rating helps maintain signal quality by reducing the delay and distortion that can occur in longer runs. This is particularly beneficial in environments requiring high-speed data transmission or in setups with multiple connections.
