It uses special carbide tipped saw blades that provide nearly burr free cuts, making it suitable for tasks like trimming threaded bars without the need for recutting the thread. The saw can handle solid material and flat steel up to 6 mm thick, round material up to 20 mm, and hollow sections up to 63 mm.
