Fluke 773 Milliamp Process Clamp Meters

If you need more time in your busy day take a good look at the Fluke 772 and 773 mA Clamp Meters. Designed to save you time, and money, by eliminating time wasting activities. Now you can troubleshoot and repair 4-20 mA loops without breaking the loop or bringing down the system.

Here are some specific ways the Fluke 773 clamp meter will help you:

Measure mA signals for PLC and control system analog I/O without breaking the loop
• Measures low level dc current
• Correlate process indication with real physical value

Measure output signals from transmitters without breaking the loop
• Maintain and troubleshoot process and automation equipment without breaking the loop
• No disruption to the process

Detachable clamp with extension cable
• Measurements in tight locations
• Enables measurements in difficult situations

Measurement Spotlight
• Illuminates hard to see wires in dark enclosures
• Measurement process is easier and quicker

Measure up to 99.9 mA range non-contact
• Wide range of measurements
• Measures 10 to 50 mA signals in older control systems

Automatic power off
• After 15 minutes and 2 minute automatic off for backlight and spotlight
• Saves battery life

Want simultaneous mA source/measure? Consider the Fluke 773 Milliamp Clamp Meter.

Features and Benefits

• Best in class 0.2% accuracy
• 0.01 mA resolution and sensitivity
• Measure 4 to 20 mA signals without “breaking the loop”
• Measure mA signals for PLC and control system analog I/O
• Dual backlit display with both mA measurement and percent of 4 to 20 mA span
• Measurement Spotlight illuminates hard to see wires in dark enclosures
• Detachable clamp with extension cable for measurements in tight locations
• Measure 10 to 50 mA signals in older control systems using the 99.9 mA range
• Automatically change the 4 to 20 mA output for remote testing
• Power saving features, auto-off, backlight timeout extend battery life
• Hold function captures and displays changing measurements
• Measure 4 to 20 mA signals with in-circuit measurement
• Simultaneous mA in-circuit measurement with 24V loop power for powering and testing transmitters
• Source 4 to 20 mA signals for testing control system I/O or I/Ps
• mA output linear ramp or 25% step output
• Automatically change the 4 to 20 mA output for remote testing

Fluke 773 additional features:

DC voltage measurement to verify 24 V power supplies or voltage I/O signals
Source dc voltage to test input devices that accept a 1 to 5 volt or 0 to 10 volt signal
Scaled mA output corresponds to the 4 to 20 mA signal measured by the mA clamp enables a logging DMM or other device to record the 4 to 20 mA signal without breaking the loop mA in/out: simultaneously measure the mA signal with the clamp and source a mA signal
Voltage output linear ramp or 25 % step output
Automatically change the voltage output for remote testing

4 AA alkaline batteries, test lead set with integral prods and 2 crocodile clips; test leads with integral grabber clips; soft carry case & instructions

Fluke Clamp Meter

The Fluke milliamp process clamp meter measures current up to 99.9mA DC and voltage up to 30V DC. It saves time and money by measuring 4mA to 20mA signals five times faster than with traditional DMMs, and without breaking the loop. It can detach the clamp section of the meter and use it as a remote jaw, connected to the main body by an extension cable to make it easier to take measurements in tight spaces.
Note:
For details of the 771 process clamp meter see stock no. 287-642
Supplied with:
4 AA alkaline batteries, test lead set with integral prods and 2 crocodile clips

test leads with integral grabber clips

soft carry case & instructions

Features and Benefits

Sources 4mA to 20mA signals for testing control system I/O or I/Ps
Simulates 4mA to 20 mA signals for testing control system I/O
Measures 4mA to 20mA signals with in-circuit measurement
Simultaneously measures mA in-circuit with 24V loop power for powering and testing transmitters
Source output signals in a linear ramp or 25% step output- Automatically change the 4mA to 20 mA output for remote testing
Power-saving features, auto-off, backlight timeout extend battery life
The scaled output provides a continuous mA signal that corresponds to the 4mA to 20mA signal measured by the mA clamp- Output mA signal enables a logging DMM or other device to record the 4mA to 20mA signal without breaking the loop
mA in/out- Simultaneously measures the mA signal with the clamp and source an mA signal- apply an mA input signal to a device and measure its 4mA to 20mA output on devices such as valves or mA isolators
Voltage output linear ramp or 25% step output Automatically change the voltage output for remote testing
Delivers 0.01mA resolution and sensitivity
Measurement Spotlight to illuminate hard to see wires in dark enclosure
Operating temperature ranges between -10°C and 50°C

Applications

Troubleshooting transmitters
Troubleshooting valves
Troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) found in process plants
