This Roline Mini DisplayPort to HDMI & VGA Active converter is compatible with all standard Mini DisplayPort sockets. Featuring a mini male DisplayPort and female HDMI & VGA sockets, with nickel-plated connectors to resist corrosion, providing durability and improve signal transmission.

This portable HDMI & VGA adapter is useful in connecting a laptop to an HDTV, monitor, or projector with an HDMI interface. It transmits high-definition audio and video from a computer to an HDTV for video streaming or gaming. It supports video resolutions up to 1080p.

What are the video and audio quality like using this adapter?

The adapter transmits digital signals, so very little interference. The video resolution is up to 1080p and includes audio.

Does this convert DisplayPort to HDMI or HDMI to DisplayPort?

Its only converts DisplayPort to HDMI. Taking the DisplayPort output from the laptop/desktop and connects to a TV or other HDMI ready device to mirror your laptop screen.
