Use this tough stainless steel rod underwater or in situations where there's a risk of pitting type corrosion. From marine equipment to food production and chemical engineering, this versatile component has a variety of applications.

The bar is highly durable thanks to its austenitic steel composition. This material is enriched with molybdenum, an element used to add corrosion resistance and weldability to steel. Ideal for fabrications where corrosive liquids are in use, it's also non-magnetic. Because it resists pitting, molybdenum is a material that prolongs the life of the rods in even the toughest environments.

Part of our tried-and-tested RS PRO range, this metal rod is available in lengths of 1.5 metres and with a diameter of 8 mm. It's been rigorously tested by engineers to meet our high standards of quality and consistency.
