    Neodymium Magnets

Neodymium magnets are permanent magnets composed of neodymium, Iron and boron. They have the strongest magnetic material properties and any kind of ferromagnetic material will attract to these magnets. You can find more detailed information in our neodymium magnets guide.

Neodymium magnets are also called neo magnets, NdFeB magnets or rare earth magnets. Rare-earth magnets come in two forms samarium cobalt and neodymium-iron-boron. They are called rare earth because they are made from the lanthanide series of the periodic table.

    How strong are Neodymium magnets?

Neodymium magnets are measured by their grade strengths typically ranging from N33 to N52, however the higher the number the more brittle the magnets become.

Where would you use Neodymium magnets?

Neodymium magnets are used in a variety of products like fridge magnets and attachable gadgets. They are ideal for schools and science labs to perform tests and experiments. We supply a range of magnets for use in positioning and clamping applications. With high pull force and different shapes available, these magnets are suitable for a variety of purposes.

From ring magnets with threaded holes for secure mating, to magnets with inbuilt hooks for easy repositioning in fixing applications, our range of magnets are highly versatile, with pot, bar and horseshoe shapes available. High strength magnets are also available for lifting and pulling applications.

What types of Neodymium magnets are available?

We offer a range of Neodymium magnets such as, bar, block, disc, pot and shallow pot and ring.

Will they lose their strength over time?

Neodymium magnets (NdFeB) are permanent magnets that can be susceptible to high temperatures and become demagnetised. Over a 10 year period the loss in magnetic power would be un-noticeable.
