Laser modules are packaged devices which contain a laser diode alongside other components, such as power control. They often have an aluminium body and cables to connect to power.
Continuous wave lasers have a continuous output beam which remains constantly on, until they are switched off. It is used for fibre optics, laser printing and barcode reading.
Output Power, measured in mW, rates the power of the laser beam. Your choice of output power will vary depending on how powerful you require the laser to be. The colour of the laser output is called wavelength and is measured in nanometres (nm). Different wavelengths represent different colours.
