RS PRO Single-Phase Digital Panel Voltmeter

Introducing the RS PRO Digital Panel Ammeter, ideal for accurate measurement and display of voltage readings in a circuit. This panel meter offers digital true RMS measurement for highly accurate and reliable readouts resulting in quality measurement and data. The meter has been designed with a four-digit resolution with built-in auto-scaling and can display single-phase voltage readings. This is an ideal panel meter for direct measurement of active power that can be used to monitor the voltage in circuits.

Features and Benefits:

• This single-phase RS PRO digital panel voltmeter offers true RMS measurement to ensure accurate and reliable readings with a clear display
• The meter is designed with a four-digit resolution with auto-scaling and gives continuous and instantaneous readings
• It also features a field-programmable CT primary and secondary
• The panel meter enclosure housing measures 96 x 96 x 55 mm
• Panel cut out size required is 90 x 90 x 55 mm
• The meter offers a flush panel mounting installation
• Class 1.0 accuracy as per IEC 62053-21

Applications:

Digital Voltmeters, or digital panel voltmeters, are used to measure the voltage within an electrical circuit, which can be useful for calculating the current or determining that there is power running through a circuit, like a mains outlet or other electronic components. They are able to measure both AC and DC voltages and have a high input impedance, making the voltage measurements more reliable, with higher accuracy. Some of the newest digital voltmeters can also feature the latest technology of built-in microcontrollers which can store readings and data for further analysis and investigation. Digital Voltmeters are most commonly used by electricians; however, they can be used across a wide variety of applications in the following environments:

• Laboratories
• Schools
• Construction sites
• Industrial and manufacturing sites

What are the benefits of using a digital voltmeter compared to an analogue voltmeter?

The primary difference between a digital voltmeter and an analogue one is the display in which the measurements are taken. They fundamentally function in the same way when they take readings, however, in more recent years, there has been a growing crossover to the digital units as they are often easier and more efficient to use, while providing reliable and accurate readings. Some digital voltmeters also have built-in microcontrollers that allow the user to store readings for further investigation, which is a huge benefit to those users who are mobile and haven’t got time to note down measurements and data constantly.
