Ambient Light and Proximity Sensor with Integrated IR Emitter SFH 7773

The compact SFH 7773, from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, combines a digital ambient light sensor and a proximity sensor (infrared detector and emitter) in a single package. Additionally the SFH 7773 sensor offers an I2C-bus interface and an interrupt pin to connect it to a microcontroller. This versatile sensor is ideal for applications such as: mobile phones, PDAs, notebooks, cameras and other consumer products.

The Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) has high linearity (0.03 to 65000lx) andwavelength of maximum sensitivity: 555nm
