Suspension Mounts

When machinery has rotating parts that create vibrations, this can often result in wear and tear and decreased lifespan of the machinery. One way to solve this problem is to use suspension mounts that deflect vibrations, resulting in machinery that has optimum functionality across a much longer period of time.

Types of suspension mounts

Suspension mounts are typically made from steel or a rubber-steel combination. Rubber is a naturally insulating material that absorbs sounds caused by vibrations, while steel is strong and anti-corrosive, making it ideal for applications in damp areas.

Which types of machinery can suspension mounts work for?

There are many types of machinery that are subject to shock, vibrations, and noise. Some examples include heaters, power generators, and ventilation equipment. Air conditioning units, for example, will often make noise due to their vibrations, but suspension mounts will solve this problem. Anti-vibration pads, which absorb rather than deflect vibrations, are one other solution for certain types of machinery such as air conditioning units.
