The Sharp GP2A25DJ000F is a reflective sensor with photo interrupter output with emitter and detector facing the same direction in a moulding that provides non-contact sensing. This device uses light modulation to reduce the affects of disturbing light and the sensor is optimized to work in the selected focal distance. It is generally used in applications such as general purpose detection of paper presence or motion.
