Discovery Kit for STM32F429ZI Microcontroller

The ST Microelectronics STM32F429I-DISC1 is a Discovery board for the STM32F429 microcontrollers (MCUs). It includes everything required for beginners and experienced users to start developing applications with graphical user interfaces. This particular development board also features a 2.4" TFT LCD Display.
The STM32F429I-DISC1 development board features a built-in ST-LINK/V2-B debugger/programmer system.

What is the STM32F429?
STM32F429 series of microcontrollers are high-performance, advanced line MCUs with both DSP and FPU instructions. It is based on ARM Cortex-M4 and offers up to 180MHz. The STM32F429ZIT6 is the onboard chip which comes in a 144-pin LQFP package.

What software does it use?
Alongside the STM32F429I-DISC1 hardware, you will require software to write your coding etc. This software includes:
- IAR EWARM (IAR Embedded Workbench)
- Keil MDK-ARM
- GCC-based IDEs (ARM, Atollic, TrueSTUDIO)
- ARM mbed online

What else do I need?
You need a PC running Windows XP, Windows 7 or Window 8. You will also need a USB cable going from USB-A to mini-B.
