ATULPC-DEMO Wearable IoT Reference Design

The ATULPC-DEMO Wearable Demo Reference Design evaluation kit is a hardware platform for developing IoT and Wearable projects. It features a SAML21 low-power microcontroller, a Bluetooth Smart communications module, and an array of motion and environmental sensors. The wearable demonstration requires an Android smartphone running an App downloadable from: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atmel.wearables

• 48MHz SAML21G18B Cortex-M0+ MCU with 256KB Flash memory, 32KB SRAM • BTLC1000-ZR Bluetooth 4.1 low-power wireless module
• On-board BHI160 3-axis Accelerometer and 3-axis Gyroscope SoC
• On-board BME280 Temperature/Humidity/Barometric pressure sensor module
• On-board VEML6080 Ambient UV/Light sensor
• Footprint for optional ATECC508A Crypto Authentication device
• Embedded Bluetooth Smart protocol stack: L2CAP, ATT, GATT, GAP
• Embedded application profiles include Proximity, Thermometer, Heart Rate and Blood Pressure
• 10-pin SWD program/debug header for SAML21
• 3 x Status LEDs: Power On, Touch and BLE Activity
• 2 x PTC (Touch) pads
• Power supply slide-switch
• CR2032 coin-cell holder
• Powered by single CR2032 coin-cell
• Dimensions: 40 x 30mm (excluding programming header extension)
• Software development supported by the Atmel Studio 7 IDE
