RS Pro 3D Printer Filament ABS 1.75mm

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is an extra strong impact-resistant filament ideal for 3D printing of solid printed products. ABS can be used on all common desktop FDM or FFF technology 3D printers
Due to the process stability and physical features of ABS it is a widely used thermoplastic polymer in industry. The material is also very light and durable making ABS particularly suitable for tools, toys and all kinds of utensils. Printed at a slightly over-average temperature for ABS, this filament gives extra strong 3D print results.

This RS Pro range of ABS 3D printing material comes in various colours:
832-0311 – Black 1Kg
832-0315- White 1Kg
832-0321 – Green 1Kg
832-0324 – Blue 1Kg
832-0327 – Red 1Kg
832-0330 – Yellow 1Kg
832-0333 – Orange 1Kg
832-0337 – Silver 1Kg
832-0343 – Grey 1Kg
832-0346 – Pink 1Kg
832-0349 – Gold 1Kg
832-0352 – Fluorescent Yellow 1Kg
832-0355 – Fluorescent Orange 1Kg
832-0453 – Black 300g
832-0469 – Red 300g
832-0472 – Pink 300g
832-0497 – Fluorescent Orange 300g

Features and Benefits
• Very high impact-resistance
• Extra strong – printed at a higher temperature
• Stable printing
• Light and durable
• Limited warping – requires a heated bed
• Recommended temperature for heated bed is 90°C to 110°C
• ABS has a shiny glossy look

It is important to store this filament correctly to maintain its quality. Over time the plastic will absorb moisture from the air, creating small water bubbles in the filament. These bubbles when heated in the extruder nozzle will quickly reach boiling point, spoiling the print. The use of desiccant dehumidifiers to absorb the moisture is highly recommend.

Typical Applications

ABS in 3D printing is used in a wide range of applications such as:
• General printing
• Hobbyist
• Medical
• Education
• Prototyping
• Jewellery
• Architecture models
• Aviation
• Engineering
• Automotive
